EstheticsThe curriculum for students enrolled in the Dalton Esthetics program will exceed minimums set by the state of Georgia and will include 1,000 hours of theory, practical training and technical instruction covering all aspects of the industry. Students may attend day classes until the completion of the 1,000 hours. We will also participate in monthly field trips, all expenses paid, to The International Dermal Institute in Atlanta for undergraduate classes on the latest trends in treatments, equipment and career development. Our program offers many advanced training courses and certifications that are normally only offered as post-graduate education including Microdermabrasion Certification, Makeup Techniques, and Advanced European Facials and Back Treatments.

Master CosmetologyThe curriculum for students enrolled in the Dalton Master Cosmetology program will exceed minimums set by the state of Georgia and will include 1,500 hours of theory, practical training and technical instruction covering all aspects of the industry. Students attend day classes until the completion of the 1,500 hours. As a Dermalogica Partnership School, we participate in several Cosmetology Undergraduate days at the International Dermal Institute in Atlanta, Ga. We also incorporate makeup application and European facials into your curriculum giving our students a competitive advantage over competing graduates from other schools.

Advanced Training
Advanced Training courses are included in Esthetics Program and are scheduled at various times throughout the year. Call the school for an upcoming schedule of courses.
ADVANCED FACIAL TREATMENT The Advanced Facial Treatment training class will teach students to develop individualized spa treatment sessions. In this two day (16 Hours) training course, students will learn to operate and care for spa equipment and practice creating custom treatments for clients. Hands-on instruction conducted in our teaching clinic will train students to perform a comprehensive treatment including skin analysis, deep cleansing facial, advanced exfoliation techniques, and European massage techniques for the face, neck, décolleté, shoulders, arms, and hands. CHEMICAL PEELS The chemical peel class introduces students to a non-surgical treatment that uses a chemical solution to improve and smooth the texture of the facial skin by removing its damaged outer layers. It is helpful for those individuals with facial blemishes, wrinkles and uneven skin pigmentation. Theory, safety, product knowledge and hands on application are incorporated in this class. MICRODERMABRASION The microdermabrasion certification course introduces students to a non-surgical treatment that uses tiny rough grains to buff away the surface layer of facial skin, resulting in improved appearance and feel of the skin. This procedure and accompanying facial mask takes about 30 minutes to complete and helps to remove fine lines, superficial age spots and acne scars as well as refining large pores. Theory, safety, machine demonstrations and hands on application are incorporated in this one day (8 Hours) course. MAKEUP APPLICATION This class covers everything students need to get started in the world of makeup. This includes theory and demonstrations of product knowledge, your complete makeup kit, understanding color theory, and practical applications. Below is the breakdown of the 22.5 total hour Makeup Application: 1 HOUR:YOUR PROFESSIONAL IMAGE: Why Study Your Professional Image? Professional Image and Your Attitude Image Enhancers and activities for each segment. 2 HOURS: INFECTION CONTROL: Principles of Prevention, Decontamination Methods. Disinfectants, Cleaning towels, linens, and capes, Brush care, Hand Washing, Universal Standards and Precautions. Professional Image, Blood spill, Disinfecting nonelectrical tools and implements. 1.5 HOURS:TOOLS OF THE TRADE: Why Study Tools of the Trade? Brushes, brush bristles, handles. Brush types and uses. Utensils and accessories, tweezers, brow scissors. Lash curlers, blotting paper, sharpeners, draping, single-use items and cases. 3 HOURS:COLOR THEORY: Why Study Color Theory? Components of the color wheel. Warm, cool, neutral colors. Complementary colors, primary colors, pure color, hue, harmony, saturation, secondary colors and shades. 15 HOURS: EVERYDAY MAKEUP APPLICATION: Why Study Everyday Makeup Application? Understand and list all tools for makeup application. Understand and list all alternative tools and products used for basic makeup application. Perform everyday makeup applications during hands on workshop. |
Esthetics InstructorThe curriculum for students enrolled in the Esthetics Instructor Training program will exceed minimums set by the state of Georgia and will include 600 hours of theory and technical instruction. The curriculum for a Esthetics Instructor training course shall be completed within one year and 600 hours of training as stated below. Instructor Training students spend all of their training time under the direct supervision of a licensed instructor. The 600 hours of instruction required for the Esthetics Instructor license shall be apportioned as follows:
