The Admission Process
A student wishing to enter any program of study must fill out a Dalton Application for Admission and must be at least seventeen years old, a US citizen (or a permanent resident) and have one of the following:
Prospective students are required to submit one of the following forms of identification as proof of age:
- High school diploma, or equivalent, such as high school completion transcript, or a certificate of attainment, a secondary school completion credential, or any other state-authorized high school diploma equivalent
- General Educational Development test (GED)
- Postsecondary education diploma or degree
Prospective students are required to submit one of the following forms of identification as proof of age:
- State-issued photo ID
- Government-issued identification
- US Passport
- US Passport
- Birth Certificate
- Social Security Card
- US Permanent Resident Card
- Alien Registration Receipt Card
- An Employment Authorization Document that contains a photograph
Financial Aid
Dalton Institute of Esthetics and Cosmetology is authorized to offer qualified students Federal Title IV Loans and Pell Grants. Amounts may vary based on income and eligibility. Our financial aid federal school code is 042423.
Financial Aid is available to those who qualify. Dalton Institute is staffed with a financial aid adviser to assist you in financing your education.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is the first step in the financial aid process. You use the FAFSA to apply for federal student aid, such as grants and loans. This is a free application and you should not be charged for completing it.
